Bird Feeders and Plants

This day focused on birds and their role in ecosystems. To begin, students participated in a discussion on the importance of birds in our environment. Then students created bird feeders from pine cones by sticking sunflower butter to pinecones. Additionally, students had the opportunity to plant their own vegetables and flowers. This encouraged a sense of stewardship of plants.
